Baseball Opens Conference Play with Post University at Breslin Field

LYNDHURST, N.J. - Felician Baseball (10-14 / CACC 0-1) returned to Breslin Field Wednesday afternoon to host Post University (9-13 / 1-0 CACC) for some Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.

The Golden Falcons trailed the Eagles early 2-1 and ultimately lost their first CACC event of season when the Eagles wrapped up their victory, 1-4.

Here's What Happened:
  • Through three innings, Post added two runs to their reign and swiftly edged the Golden Falcons, 0-2. Dauri Genao (West New York, N.J.) was able to post an RBI single and sent home designated hitter, Andrew DeAngelis (Staten Island, N.Y.) to chip away at the opposer lead, 1-2.
  • The bottom of the sixth showed a promising green-and-gold inning as Thomas Kendrick (Jackson, N.J.) led off with a single to left and was advanced to third by Genao. With runners of the corners, the hosts could not capitalize on their advantage due to a double play and a strike out.
  • Since then, Felician was held to their lone run of the day and the Eagles added two more to hand the Golden Falcons their first CACC loss of the season, 1-4.
Box Score Insights:
  • Kendrick ended the day going 3-4 while Genao went 2-4 with an RBI for the lone run for the green-and-gold.
  • Chris Biolsi (Edison, N.J.) and Haiden Walters (Coral Springs, F.L.) went 1-3 on the day.
  • Starting on the mound was Mike Caldon (Matawan, N.J.) who grasped the loss when he pitched 6.1 innings, struck out nine, but surrendered three runs. Logan Waltz (Hazlet, N.J.) came in for relief and pitched 2.2 innings and struck out four.
  • Felician ended the day with seven hits and two crucial errors.
