Golden Falcons Split CACC Doubleheader with Post

WATERBURY, C.T. - Felician Baseball (11-15 / 1-2 CACC) split in a doubleheader with Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contenders, Post University, in Waterbury, C.T. Friday afternoon.

The doubleheader was the battle of the birds as the Golden Falcons were tackled in seven innings for the Eagle victory, but in game two, Felician came out on top for the split.

GAME ONE: 1-11 LOSS - 7 INN.
Here's What Happened:
  • Dauri Genao (West New York, N.J.) put the Golden Falcons on the board in the first inning with a RBI single. Despite the immediate 1-0 advantage over the hosts, the Eagles equalized the score in the second inning and obtained the lead in the fourth.
  • The Golden Falcons were held to their lone first inning run for the remainder of the game one contest while the Eagles tallied a total of 11 for the seven inning 1-11 victory.

Box Score Insights:
  • Genao (1-3) posted the RBI and Thomas Kendrick (Jackson, N.J.) (1-4) was the run. Jack Scrivanic (Tinton Falls, N.J.) went 2-3 at the plate and Haiden Walters (Coral Springs, F.L.) went 1-2.
  • Nick DeCarlo (Jackson, N.J.) acquired the loss in 5.2 IP and four strikeouts.

GAME TWO: 9-3 WIN
Here's What Happened:
  • Game two was a whole different story for the green-and-gold. They started the contest the same way they did in the first with an immediate run, but this time thanks to Andrew DeAngelis (Staten Island, N.Y.).
  • Walters, Ricky Voss (Eatontown, N.J.) and Jose David Medrano (North Bergen, N.J.) aided in the three run inning for the 4-0 advantage over the hosts and that lead would soon be extended to 7-0 by the bottom of the fifth.
  • The Eagles were able to rally some run in the fifth inning to cut into the Felician advantage, 7-3, however, Felician posted a run in the sixth and seventh for the 9-3 victory to secure their first CACC win of the season.
Box Score Insights:
