Rios and Crocker Score Twice in Defeat to Chestnut Hill

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician Men's Lacrosse (4-8 / 1-5 CACC) hosted Chestnut Hill College on Tryon Field for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match up Wednesday afternoon.

The Golden Falcons were led by Jayden Rios (Stony Point, N.Y.) and Finn Crocker (South Hamilton, M.A.) who caged two goals apiece in the 5-14 defeat.

Here's What Happened:
  • Felician was held scoreless in the opening period and the Griffins tallied four. Rios boosted the Golden Falcon offense with a goal to start the second to put the green-and-gold on the board, 1-4, however, their opponents had the answer to increase the Felician deficit back to four, 1-5.
  • Crocker was the lone scorer in the third quarter for the squad and the hosts now trailed, 2-10.
  • The largest period for the Golden Falcons was in the fourth when they played almost even with their opponents as they netted three on goals by the duo of Crocker and Rios, but the addition of freshman, Joe Bouab (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.). Despite the increase in performance, men's lacrosse dropped 5-14 on the day.
Box Score Insights:
  • Crocker tallied five points on two goals and three assists to lead the Felician offense. Rios tallied two goals and 11 ground balls while Liam Dunn (Murfreesboro, T.N.) had six ground balls.
  • Dominick Sala (Deer Park, N.Y.) paced the defensive end with two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
  • Nick Grebe (Farmingville, N.Y.) tied for the second all-time high of saves in a game with 21.

Felician Men's Lacrosse will be back in action on Saturday to celebrate three seniors on their careers while they host Caldwell University at 7:00pm.
