RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician women's lacrosse recorded a 21-5 loss to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent Holy Family University this Wednesday evening. Despite the loss, sophomore
Mary Gazaleh (East Windsor, N.J.) added another 3 goals to the stat sheet.
Here's What Happened:
- The Tigers dominated the first, scoring 7 and the Golden Falcons recorded 5 shots in the quarter but couldn't sneak it past the Tigers' goalkeeper.
- Felician records the first goal of the second quarter by way of sophomore defender Claudia Goncalves (New Rochelle, N.Y.). Holy Family added two more before Gazaleh recorded her first of the game, unassisted. At the end of the first half, the Tigers caged an additional three to make the score 12-2 after 30-minutes of play.
- Holy Family goes on a 5-goal scoring run in the third period before they are interrupted by a goal from attacker Julia Ravazza (Tuolumne, Calif.), assisted by freshman Aly Amadruto (Tinton Falls, N.J.).
- Gazaleh caged her final 2 goals of the night in the fourth quarter, with the Tigers adding 4 to ultimately secure their 21-5 win.
