PHILADELPHIA, P.A. - Felician baseball (18-17 / 8-4 CACC) hit the road to Philadelphia, P.A. for a 7/7 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference divisional cross over with Jefferson Rams on Sunday.
In the event, the Golden Falcons were swept by the hosts to drop to 8-4 in the conference.
GAME ONE: 6-7 LOSS
Here's What Happened:
- Jefferson posted two errors on the day and the first one contributed to the green-and-golds leading three runs to start the day in the first when Thomas Kendrick (Jackson, N.J.), Haiden Walters (Coral Springs, F.L.), and Ricky Voss (Eatontown, N.J.) touched home.
- The Rams answered back with five in the bottom half of the innings to edge the Golden Falcons 3-5. Felician chipped away and equalized the score at five on RBI at bats from Jack Scrivanic (Tinton Falls, N.J.) and Walters.
- With two more Rams runs and Felician only posting one, the hosts ran away with the 6-7 game one win.
Box Score Insights:
- Walters went 1-2 with two walks and an RBI while Scrivanic went 1-3 with a walk and an RBI.
- Felician played a perfect game from the field with no errors and was able to post four hits of their six runs.
- Logan Waltz (Hazlet, N.J.) battled on the mound for 4.0 innings, stuck out six and only walked one.
GAME TWO: 2-3 LOSS
Here's What Happened:
- Felician was on the board first to start game two in the top half of the second inning when Voss bombed his sixth home run of the season - he currently leads the team in that category.
- Jefferson added their lone three runs of the game in the bottom of the second in which was enough to sweep the green-and-gold.
- Walters was able to send home Kendrick for another Golden Falcon run, but the squad fell shorts, 2-3, for the CACC loss.
Box Score Insights:
- Voss went 1-1 with an RBI on his homer and walked twice. Kendrick and Andrew DeAngelis (Staten Island, N.Y.) both went 1-3 in game two.
- Rafael Solano (Jersey City, N.J.) recorded the loss in 4.1 innings and struck out two.
