USTFCCCA Outdoor All-Region Recap 2024

Six Track and Field Athletes Selected for USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their 2024 Outdoor Track and Field All-Region list on Monday morning. Six Felician athletes, one male and five female, have been selected. 

All Region honors for the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Friday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.

Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

Devin Jones (Toms River, N.J.) represents the men's side in the field event of the Long Jump in which he is listed as an All-Region Honoree for. In that specific event, he posts six first place finishes with his best performance being 7.46m on Apr. 19 at the ESU All-American Meet. He also holds the Felician record in that category. 

On the women's side, the Golden Falcons of Destiny Ellerbe (Lancaster, P.A.), Talia Ferguson (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.), Destiny Fields (Lindenwold, N.J.), Aarysa Moore (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.), and Chantoya Thomas (Spanish Town, Jamaica) have been selected for their respective events. In the track portion, Moore was listed an all-region honoree in the 100m hurdles where she consistently placed in the top-five throughout the outdoor season and posted a overall win at the CACC Champs for the Felician record when she clocked in a time of 14.72. Thomas is listed in two events of the 200m and 400m. With her holding the green-and-gold records in both categories, she quickly improved throughout the regular season and captured two gold medals at the championship event on May 4-5. 

Field events of Shot Put, Discus, and High Jump are claimed by Ellerbe, Fields, and Ferguson. Ellerbe recorded four second place finishes in the Shot Put event throughout the season and currently holds the record with a 13.01m throw - which was set back in 2023. Fields has two first place finishes under her belt in Discus with her best performance being at the CACC Champs with a outing of 38.70m. Lastly, Ferguson is listed in the High Jump and she still maintains her record that was set last season. This season she posts three overall wins and has her being jump being 1.63m at the CACC Champs.
