Rutherford NJ - Felican University Women's Volleyball hosted their first match since returning from Alaska against Post, their first conference opponent. In what would be a tough match for the Golden Falcons, as they would fall 3-0 in this match, they still aimed to be competitive throughout the rest of their conference matches this season. Here's a breakdown of what transpired. 
In the first set it was all Post University. The Golden Falcons were only able to achieve 3 points this set (Service Error by Post, Kills by #7 
Karla Maldonado and 
Tatum Williams). Post would win this set 25-3 to bring the score to 1-0. Going into the second set, Felician would start off keeping up with Post, with kills coming from Rowan Jenson, 
Ashanna Caviness, 
Tatum Williams, and 
Karla Maldonado to bring the score to 10-8. However, Post would start going on another run to bring the score to 17-10, with Felician coming in with another kill by 
Tatum Williams and a service error by Post, but in the end Post would win the second set bringing it to 2-0 Post. The third set would be similar, Felician in the beginning would keep up with Post with kills coming from 
Brooke Stone, 
Rowan Jensen, 
Ashanna Caviness, and 
Tatum Williams to bring the score to an even 7-7. Post would begin another run after this, not allowing the Golden Falcons another chance to go on a run, as they would win this set 25-12, winning them this contest 3-0, giving the Golden Falcons their first loss in conference play.

Rylee Botelho. She recorded 8 assists and 2 digs in this contest, constantly setting the ball within the right position to give the Golden Falcons opportunities to earn points within this contest.
The Golden Falcons are going back on the road as this Friday, September 20th, at 7 PM they go up against Mercy University. Mercy enters this match 4-1 record and a home record of 2-1. Women's Volleyball aims to leave this upcoming contest with a win as they look to remove themselves from the loss column.Â
