Rutherford NJ - Felician's Women's Volleyball team headed on the road for tonight's Friday night contest as they went up against Mercy University. The Golden Falcons aimed to snap their losing streak, however this wouldn't be the case as they would fall 3-0 to Mercy. Here's a breakdown of what transpired.
In the first set, the Golden Falcons looked to keep attacking, starting things off with kills coming from Kelly Samaro and
Ashanna Caviness. The Golden Falcons kept up as well though, bringing the score to 13-12 with the help of Mercy's errors. The opposing team wouldn't stay down though as they would start a run giving them the first set win, to bring the score to 1-0. Going into the second set, Felician would stay competitive throughout this entire set. Kills by

Tatum Williams helped keep the Golden Falcons right there this entire set. Mery would end up taking the second set 25-20, but the Golden Falcons stay consistent within this set, not allowing the opposing team to push ahead. Within the third set, the Golden Falcons looked to bring some more offensive presence and make a comeback. They would start off the third set 5-3, but Mercy would start a run pushing back. However, Felician didn't just give up, with the help of
Rylee Botelho and
Aly Reeser, they made sure they still had a shot within this contest. In the end, Mercy would start to go on a run and cement the victory 3-0, giving Felician another loss on the season.

The Women's Volleyball team has one day to rest, as they host a tri-match against West Chester and Saint Thomas Aquainas this Sunday starting at 12 PM. The Women's Volleyball team aims to go into these two contests to achieve a victory in both of these contests to help bring them back to .500.
