WATERBURY, Conn. (January 14, 2025) – Felician University's men's basketball team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end with a 74-69 loss to Post University at the Drubner Center.
Senior guard Marcus Pierce led the Golden Falcons with a standout performance, scoring 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. Jared White contributed 11 points, while Jhonny Tovar added 7 points and a team-high 9 rebounds.
Felician shot an impressive 52.1% from the field and a flawless 100% from the free-throw line. However, Post University's advantage on the boards, out-rebounding Felician 37-28, and their 19 second-chance points proved decisive.
Post University was led by Bol Akot, who tallied 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Deng Deang added 16 points, and Harrison Warnock recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The game featured six ties and four lead changes, with Post holding a narrow 39-35 advantage at halftime. Despite Felician's efforts, Post maintained their lead throughout the second half, securing the victory.
Felician's record now stands at 9-6 overall and 2-3 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The Golden Falcons will look to rebound in their next game against Goldey-Beacom College at home on January 17, with tip-off scheduled for 3:30 PM.
