Rutherford, N.J. - Felician women's soccer fell on Senior Day, falling 2-0 to Wilmington on Sunday afternoon.
Prior to kickoff, the Golden Falcons honored their senior class for their contributions to the program. Felician came out with energy and generated early chances, including shots on frame from
Emma Miller and
Kate Braun, but Wilmington struck first in the 18th minute.Â
Felician continued to battle throughout the second half, but Wilmington soon doubled its advantage in the 68th minute when Sierra Bartley scored her second of the afternoon. The Golden Falcons kept pushing forward, earning late opportunites from
Tabitha Mwaura and Braun, but could not break through.
Felician was outshot 11-7 with Wilmington also holding a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.
Isabella Riollano recorded six saves in a strong effort.Â
