Flushing, NY - Felician earned a huge non-conference road result on Wednesday evening, grinding out a 1–0 victory over regionally-ranked Queens College.
Felician's attack came out firing early and dictated the opening stages. The Golden Falcons generated eight shots (six on goal), and found the back of the net, just eleven minutes into the match. The Falcons applied relentless pressure in their attack, which set the tone from kickoff. Their early offensive surge forced Queens to chase for the remainder of the game.
On the other end, the Golden Falcons' back line delivered their fifth shutout of the season, anchored by goalkeeper Gerardo Mendez. Mendez was stellar between the posts, recording 10 saves to secure his first career shutout.
