Rutherford, N.J. - Felician women's soccer took their first loss of the season to an undefeated Mercy University in a tough 2-1 battle.
Mercy began the scoring in just the fifth minute, as Ella Gallino delivered the ball from a corner kick to Gracie DiPalo to head it into the back of the net for the Mavericks.Â
One minute later,
Kate Braun battled through a defender to get the ball from
Valeria Ordonez Perez to put Felician on the board with a strike from distance to tie the game.

Isabella Riollano made stellar saves to keep her team within one goal after the 82nd minute as Madison Rose scored for Mercy.
Riollano had seven saves in the match.
