Staten Island, N.Y. - The Felician women's soccer team opened the season with a 1-0 win on the road against the College of Staten Island.
The first half saw back and forth action between the Golden Falcons and Dolphins until the 34th minute as senior
Kate Braun opened the scoring. Braun's goal would be the decision for the remainder of the game.
Felician totaled nine shots, as the College of Staten Island had six. Sophomore goalkeeper
Isabella Riollano tallied three saves in the match.
Kalina Stanisic and Braun led the team with three shots each.
Briana Franco,
Emmy Eskridge, and
Sierra Moretto had one shot a piece.
The win marks the first Golden Falcon victory over the Dolphins.
