Staten Island, N.Y. - The men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Wagner Invitational on Saturday.
The women delivered with a strong performance across both track and field events.
Chantoya Thomas led the sprinters with a fourth place finish in the 200m at 25.78, while
Chimeremya Odoh followed closely in sixth.
Imani Fitzpatrick placed fifth in the 500m. In the hurdles,
Aarysa Moore finished sixth in the 60m hurdles at 9.17 before securing a second place finish in the high jump.Â
Taylor Peters cleared 1.48 meters for eighth place, as
Makayla Chiariello finished in 10th place.
Destiny Ellerbe placed fourth in the shot put with a 10.75 meter mark and ninth in the weight throw.Â
On the men's side, Shawn Katzidzira led the way in the 60m hurdles, placing fourth. Issac Gaston and
Isaiah Gaston secured second and third place, respectively, in the pole vault.
Devin Jones finished fifth in the long jump with a 7.07 meter mark.
Kymani Clarke placed ninth in the triple jump, as
Francis Osae-Kissiedu followed behind in 10th place.
