Bridgeport, CT. - The women's basketball team fell on the road Tuesday night, dropping a 60-44 decision to Bridgeport.
Felician kept the game close early, trailing just 13-11 after the opening quarter behind an aggressive start. The offense then went cold in the second quarter, as the Golden Falcons were limited to just four points.Â
Felician showed resilience in the third quarter by outscoring the Purple Knights 16-13. The Golden Falcons capitalized on fast-break opportunities to cut the deficit to eight points, 39-31. Bridgeport later responded in the fourth, scoring 21 points to secure the final.Â
Stephanie Formby led all scorers with 24 points and added four rebounds.
Ane Valle contributed on the glass with eight rebounds, along with four assists and four steals, while
Lilla Szilvassy chipped in five points and three rebounds. Felician forced 23 turnovers but struggled to convert consistently, shooting 25.9 percent from the field for the game.Â
Felician will look to bounce back on Thursday, January 22 as they host Post for a 5:30 PM tip-off.
