New Castle, DE. - The Felician University women's bowling team placed 12th at the Northeast Classic, hosted by Sacred Heart University.
The team posted an overall 7-6 record, recording impressive wins on the way. On Friday in the total pinfall matches, the team first took down defending national champion Youngstown, 979-975. In the second match against fourth ranked Nebraska, the team took a 998-957 win. On Saturday, Felician beat fifth ranked Louisiana Tech, 1057-1004. In best of seven baker matches, the Golden Falcons added more top-25 wins, including two over 12th-ranked Wright State and 22nd-ranked Duquesne.Â
Freshman
Olivia Salvatore led the Golden Falcons in the individual standings, finishing in 17th place. Salvatore averaged a 213.2 through five games, highlighted by a 257 against Louisiana Tech.Â
Vivian Luna placed 70th out of 229 players, averaging a 187 through five games.
Grace LeFurge and
Mackenzie Keane added to the team's success throughout the weekend.Â
The Golden Falcons will look to continue their strong start to 2026 at the Griffin Baker Classic, beginning on January 31. The two-day event will be hosted by Chestnut Hill at the Deptford Bowlero.Â
