Men's Basketball Pulls Through In Overtime To Defeat The Defending CACC Champions

Bridgeport, CT - Felician earned a hard-fought 99–94 overtime road victory at Bridgeport, showcasing resilience, pace, and execution in a game that featured constant momentum swings. The Golden Falcons played with an aggressive tempo throughout, pushing the ball in transition and attacking early in possessions, which helped them withstand a back-and-forth contest that was not decided until the extra period.

The pace of the game was fast from the opening tip, with both teams trading runs and neither side able to fully separate in regulation. Felician's ability to maintain pressure eventually paid off, as they outscored Bridgeport 16–11 in overtime to secure the win. The contest featured 14 ties and 23 lead changes, reflecting how competitive and physical the game remained for all 45 minutes. Despite that, Felician held the lead for over 25 minutes and built a largest advantage of eight points, showing their ability to gain control in key stretches.

Team totals highlighted Felician's balanced attack. The Golden Falcons finished with 99 points on 45.8 percent shooting from the field and converted 28-of-36 attempts at the free throw line. Their interior presence was a major factor, as Felician scored 52 points in the paint and consistently put pressure on the defense with dribble penetration and post touches. Transition opportunities were also critical, with Felician producing 26 fast break points by turning defense into offense.

Second chance points played a significant role in the outcome, as Felician scored 20 points off offensive rebounds, extending possessions and creating timely scoring chances. Points off turnovers were another area of advantage, with the Golden Falcons capitalizing for 21 points by forcing mistakes and converting quickly. While the bench contributed 18 points, Felician's starters carried much of the load, setting the tone and responding each time Bridgeport threatened to pull away.
