Rutherford, N.J. - Felician women's basketball put together a dominant performance on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Wilmington 85-52 in conference play.
Felician set the tone early, exploding out of the gate with a 31-1 first quarter behind tough defense and efficient offense. The Golden Falcons forced 25 turnovers on the day and turned those miscues into 31 points. Felician shot 61.1 percent from the floor in the opening frame and built a commanding lead.
Karla Barreno led all scorers with 20 points, knocking down five three-pointers while adding two steals.
Ane Valle followed with 14 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
Mckenzie Palek chipped in 13 points off the bench for the Golden Falcons.
Felician controlled the tempo throughout the game, extending its lead to 50-18 at halftime. The Golden Falcons shot 43.9 percent from the field overall and outscored the Wildcats 36-12 in the paint.
Felician will return to action on February 3, as they travel to Post for a 5:30 PM tip off.
