Felician Adds Women's Golf Program in 2027

Rutherford, N.J. - Felician Unviersity Athletics is officially expanding its varsity sports lineup with the addition of women's golf. Ben "JR" DiNallo has been named the program's inaugural head coach. The team is set to begin competitive play in Fall 2027.

The addition of the program strengthens Felician's varsity athletics program. DiNallo takes the helm to begin building the roster and establishing the program.

"I am excited to announce the addition of women's golf to Felician University Athletics beginning in Fall 2027," announced Andrew Toriello, Director of Athletics. "This is an exciting opportunity for us to expand our athletic offerings, attract talented student-athletes, and continue building a competitive athletics program at Felician University."

DiNallo is a foundational figure for Felician golf, having originally founded the men's golf program in 2005 while serving as the Golden Falcons' Director of Athletics. Over his tenure, DiNallo has sent several individual golfers to compete in the NCAA Regionals and guided players to numerous CACC All-Tournament honorees, CACC Team Sportsmanship Awards, and All-Academic selections.

"I'm incredibly proud and honored to be named the inaugural head coach of Felician University women's golf," said DiNallo. "Adding women's golf is an exciting milestone for our athletic department and university, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help build this program from the ground up. My goal is to establish a culture centered on hard work, sportsmanship, academic success, and championship-level competition while providing student-athletes with an outstanding collegiate experience. I'm excited about the future of Felician golf and look forward to welcoming our first group of women's golfers as we begin this new chapter in Green and Gold!"

The new program reflects the university's ongoing commitment to expand opportunities for student-athletes and enhance gender equity in college athletics.

"We are looking forward to recruiting student-athletes who want to compete at the NCAA Division II level, excel in the classroom, and become part of a growing athletics community," Toriello added. "The launch of women's golf provides prospective student-athletes with a new opportunity to pursue their academic and athletic goals while representing Felician University. We are committed to establishing a strong foundation for the program and welcoming our first class of student-athletes in Fall 2027."
