New Rochelle, NY – Felician battled to a 2-2 draw against Monroe University moving to 3-4-5 overall on the season.
The Golden Falcons struck first in the 33rd minute when Andre Cunha found the back of the net for his second goal of the season. Felician carried the 1-0 advantage into halftime before Monroe scored twice early in the second half to take a 2-1 lead. The Golden Falcons responded in the 64th minute when Dario Gomez scored his first goal of the season, finishing off an assist from Cunha to level the match at 2-2.
The Golden Falcons were forced to play the final 18-plus minutes a player down after Cunha received a red card in the 72nd minute, but Felician's defense held firm to secure the draw. Reigning CACC Goalkeeper of the Week, Mathias Kristoffersen made four saves across 90 minutes, including three in the second half, to help preserve the result. Felician finished with six shots, putting five on target, while Kristoffersen and the Golden Falcons' defense held Monroe to six shots on target.
