Lawrenceville, N.J. - The Golden Falcons competed at Rider University, where they had great performances highlighted by conference qualifiers, personal bests, and program records.
For the women, teamwork showed early as the 4x100m relay of
Darrian Lewis,
Chimeremya Odoh,
Aarysa Moore, and
Apple Brown took the win to start the day.Â
It was the field events that dominated through the weekend behind
Taylor Peters,
Trinyce Symister, and Moore all taking a podium spot in their respective events. The team finished the day the same way it began with a 4x400 relay of
Imani Fitzpatrick, Lewis,
Yaralis Reid, and Ka'riyah Hamilton taking second overall with a top conference performance at 4:02.51.
For the men, it was a collective effort from all areas of the team, including sprints, distance, throws, and jumps.Â
Devin Jones set a new program record in the long jump, led the team with a first place finish, and advanced his national ranking. Patrick DuBois followed Jones with a third place 800m finish. The Golden Falcons closed the day out with
Devir Britton,
Courtney Howell, and
Joseph Onwusogh all reaching new personal records and each earning their spots at the CACC Championship.
The team will be back in action on Thursday at Kean University.
