RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Women's Volleyball made program history Tuesday night at the Joal & Joseph Job Gymnasium, sweeping West Chester University, 3-0, by set scores of 25-23, 25-23 and 25-18.
The victory marked Felician's first-ever win over West Chester, dating back to the programs' first meeting on September 8, 2017. The Golden Falcons improved to 3-1 on the season with the victory.
Sandra Galas led Felician's offensive attack with 22 kills, while Peyton Kellam added nine. Bentley Rone paced the Golden Falcons with 21 assists, with Sophia Watterson contributing 16. Kayden Mallette led the defensive effort with seven digs, while Rowan Jensen recorded nine digs.

Senior Sandra Galas led all players with 22 kills on 40 attacks, hitting .375, while adding two service aces, 13 digs and 24.0 points.

Peyton Kellam recorded nine kills on 23 attacks, hitting .261, and added one service ace, eight digs, one solo block and one block assist.

Bentley Rone directed the Golden Falcons with 21 assists while adding one kill, one service ace and four digs.

Sophia Watterson recorded 16 assists, two service aces and nine digs.

Rowan Jensen contributed nine digs and three service aces.

Felician finished with 43 kills, 43 assists, 11 service aces and 53 digs while hitting .241 as a team.

SET 1 (25-23) | Felician jumped out to a 3-0 lead behind a Caviness kill, a West Chester attack error and a Galas service ace. The Golden Rams answered with four straight points to take a 4-3 lead, but Felician regained control behind kills from Galas, Kellam and Caviness. The Golden Falcons built a 17-14 advantage before West Chester rallied to tie the set at 18-18. Felician responded with four consecutive points, including two Galas kills, to move ahead 22-18. West Chester pulled within one at 24-23, but Kellam finished the set with a kill to give Felician the 25-23 victory.

SET 2 (25-23) | The teams traded points early before West Chester opened an 8-6 lead. Felician fought back and eventually took a 15-18 advantage before the Golden Rams answered. Galas remained a consistent presence offensively, recording several kills throughout the frame. With Felician leading 23-20, West Chester cut the deficit to one at 23-22. Galas answered with another kill to put the Golden Falcons at set point, and a West Chester service error gave Felician a 25-23 win and a 2-0 match lead.

SET 3 (25-18) | Felician controlled the final set from the outset, opening with a 3-0 lead and maintaining its advantage throughout the frame. Galas continued to lead the attack, while Kellam and Caviness also contributed kills. The Golden Falcons extended their lead to 20-15 before closing out the match with five of the final eight points. Rone served the match's final point, an ace, as Felician completed the 3-0 sweep with a 25-18 victory.
