PHILADELPHIA – The Felician College women's volleyball team got off to a fast start before faltering in a 3-1 (17-25, 25-8, 25-14, 25-10) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss to host University of the Sciences on Saturday afternoon at Bobby Morgan Arena.
Junior Jenna Matesic (Paramus, NJ) paced the Felician effort with nine kills and 11 digs. Senior Megan Delamater (Paramus, NJ) turned in 17 assists and nine digs, and freshman Anni Polscher (Elmshorn, Germany) added seven kills, 10 digs, and two aces.
The Devils (4-18, 4-11) had a .287 team attack percentage for the match, including a .405 figure after the first set. U-Sciences also rolled up advantages of 13-5 in service aces and 5-1 in blocks.
Amanda DeAngelo (Vestal, NY) led the Devil offense with 16 kills an added 14 digs. Rachel Martin (Troy, NY) racked up 15 kills, five blocks and three aces for the hosts.
