Box Score WATERBURY, Conn. – Felician College could not make an early goal by senior Mike Azzato (Staten Island, NY) stand up in a 3-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's soccer loss to host Post University on Saturday afternoon at Municipal Stadium. The match marked the 2011 CACC opener for both schools.
Azzato found the back of net four minutes, 23 seconds, into the contest, and Felician (2-2, 0-1) carried the 1-0 advantage into halftime. But Post, ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Division II East Region, tied the game just over seven minutes into period two, and got the go-ahead tally in the 60th minute from Joe Baccielo (Stratford, CT). The Eagles, who owned a 9-1 second-half shot advantage, secured the victory by scoring again with 5:33 left in regulation.
Post (2-0-2, 1-0) out-shot the Golden Falcons, 16-6, for the day, and held Felician without a corner kick. Eagle goalkeeper Errol Reid (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) needed just one save to earn the victory. Freshman Rafal Krauze (Randolph, NJ) was credited with six saves for the visitors.
