Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Senior Kevin Sinic (Leibnitz, Austria) scored an unassisted goal in the 64th minute to lead the Felician College men's soccer team to a 1-0 non-conference victory over host Molloy College on Wednesday evening at the Skelos Complex.
After an evenly played first half which saw the teams split 16 shot attempts without scoring, Felician (4-4) rolled up a 16-4 shot advantage in period two. The Golden Falcons cashed in when a corner kick led to a scramble in the box. Sinic was the first to the loose ball and snuck a shot into the upper right corner of the net at 63:29 for his second goal of the season.
Sinic was the most active Golden Falcon with seven of his team's 24 shots. Felician freshman goalkeeper Rafal Krauze (Randolph, NJ) made six saves, including five in the first half, to pick up his second shutout of the season. Molloy freshman keeper Justin Corke (Valley Stream, NY) kept his team within striking distance with 11 saves.
The Lions' comeback attempt was made more difficult when they were issued a red card in the 80th minute. The teams also combined for six cautions.
Less than halfway through the season, Felician has already matched its win total for all of 2010.
