Box Score LYNDHURST, N.J. – Felician College converted its only corner kick opportunity of the night into a mid-second-half equalizing goal and hung on for a 1-1 draw with visiting Post University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's soccer action Wednesday night at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex. Post was the 2011 CACC regular-season champion and a finalist in the conference tournament.
With his team trailing, 1-0, and fewer than 18 minutes remaining in regulation, Felician junior Azedine Maazouzi (Brussels, Belgium/CERIA) sent a well-placed corner kick into the 18-yard box. Teammate Lau SanFilippo (North Bergen, N.J./Hoboken) got a head on the ball close to the far post, and the ball bounded laterally toward 6-foot-3 sophomore Keleenna Onyeaka (Birmingham, England/Solihull Sixth Form), who finished with another header.
Post (2-1-1, 0-0-1 CACC) created several scoring opportunities in the closing minutes and in both overtime periods, but was off target. Felician sophomore goalkeeper Anthony Tsouhnikas (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) contributed six saves the hosts' defensive effort. The Eagles owned advantages of 15-6 in shots (including 5-0 in overtime) and 8-1 in corners. The night's result allowed Felician (2-1-1, 1-0-1) to remain unbeaten in league play.
Post junior Joe Baccielo (Stratford, Conn./Platt Tech), the CACC's leading scorer, picked up his sixth goal of the season in the 30th minute on a 10-yard blast from the left side. Baccielo was the match's most active offensive player, getting off six shots.
Eagle keeper Errol Reid (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/Munro) was credited with two saves.
