Box Score EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team scored three times in 22 minutes as part of a 14-shot second half to earn a come-from-behind 3-1 non-conference victory over visiting Felician College on Wednesday night at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Felician (1-6-1) was the first team on the scoreboard when senior midfielder Azedine Maazouzi (Brussels, Belgium) bent a corner kick directly into the net 14 minutes, one second, into the contest. Additional opportunities for either side were scarce and the Golden Falcons took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
It took East Stroudsburg fewer than 13 minutes of second-half play to equalize, with the Warriors receiving the third goal of the season from senior forward Nemanja Nikolic (Kragujevac, Serbia). Freshman Andrew McGinley (Lincoln University, Pa.) put the hosts ahead with 14:09 remaining in regulation, and the Warriors struck again with 10:05 to play.
Freshman midfielder Ben Roda (Emmaus, Pa.) picked up a goal and an assist for East Stroudsburg (1-6-2), which amassed shot advantages of 14-5 for the second half and 17-8 on the night. ESU sophomore goalkeeper J.B. Pahls (Honesdale, Pa.) needed just two saves for the victory.
The Golden Falcons wasted a 9-2 edge in corner kicks. Junior Chris Hall (Newcastle, England) was the most active Felician offensive threat, matching Roda for game-high honors with three shots. Junior keeper Anthony Tsouhnikas (Clifton, N.J.) made six saves but fell to 0-2 for the year.
