Box Score

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Post University women's basketball team solidified its status as the highest-scoring squad in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with a 95-74 league victory over host Felician College on Tuesday evening at Job Gymnasium.

Post (3-4, 3-0 CACC), which entered the night averaging a CACC-high 81.8 points, took the lead for good fewer than four minutes into Tuesday's contest when a Liz Falcigno (Middletown, Conn./Mercy) jumper gave the visitors a 13-12 edge. Falcigno, a freshman, tallied 17 first-half points to guide the Eagles to a 46-35 halftime advantage.

Post then took full control by out-scoring Felician, 17-5, over the first 6 ½ minutes of period two. The Golden Falcons never drew closer than 15-point deficit for the balance of the evening. A lay-up by junior guard Jacquelynne Pugh (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley) handed the Eagles their largest lead, 93-61, with 3:02 to play.

Felician (1-6, 1-2) saw three players come off the bench to record career highs in scoring. Junior center Mary Chisholm (West Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) (7-11 FG) scored 18 points with seven rebounds in 17 minutes of action. Classmate Alex Salaycik (Staten Island, N.Y./Moore Catholic) registered 15 points and four assists, and junior guard Sharnese Scott (Bowie, Md./Elizabeth Seton) turned in six points and three assists in a career-high 19 minutes.

Falcigno (7-9 FG, 7-8 FT) finished with game highs of 23 points and eight rebounds. Post sophomore center Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn./Plainfield) (8-10 FG, 5-6 FT) amassed 21 points, six rebounds, and six assists, and teammate Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn./Fitch), the CACC's leading scorer, tossed in 20 points.

The Eagles shot 52 percent from the field and held their hosts to 38-percent shooting. Post also owned a 23-12 scoring advantage at the foul line.

Felician allowed its most points since giving up 99 and 104 in consecutive contests in December of 2007.
