LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Felician College junior midfielder Danny Hoyos (Perth Amboy, N.J.) scored with one minute, two seconds, remaining in regulation, but it proved to be a case of too little, too late for the Golden Falcons in their 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's soccer loss to host Georgian Court University on Saturday afternoon at Investors Savings Bank Field.

The victory allowed Georgian Court, a first-year program, to move ahead of Felician (1-5-1, 1-3-1 CACC) in the CACC standings.

The Golden Falcons were done in by a two-and-a-half-minute stretch late in the first period. GCU (5-4, 2-3) opened the scoring when Michael Clarke (Essex, England) ran onto a long ball off the foot of fellow freshman Andres Adum (Guyaquil, Ecuador). Clarke collected the pass and dribbled briefly before burying a shot into the back of the net at the 39:15 mark.

The Lions kept up the attack, and cashed in again with just 3:16 to go before halftime. Felician senior goalkeeper Daniel Wroblewski (Brick, N.J.) made a sliding save of a William Docherty (Forked River, N.J.) shot, but Docherty was the first man to the rebound. He recovered the ball and pushed it past Wroblewski for a two-goal GCU advantage.

The Golden Falcons amassed an 8-3 second half shot advantage and earned five corner kicks after intermission, but could not dent the scoreboard until Hoyos headed home a corner by Azedine Maazouzi (Brussels, Belgium) in the 89^th minute. Felician was unable to equalize, however, in the 62 ticks that were left.

Felician finished the day with a 12-7 edge in shots, while the teams evenly split 14 corner kicks. Lion junior keeper Rylan Gentil (Poseyville, Ind.) claimed the victory with five saves, while Wroblewski stopped three shots. Hoyos led all players with four shot attempts.
