Box Score PHILADELPHIA – Chestnut Hill College spanned halftime with a 21-3 run en route to an 82-66 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's basketball victory over visiting Felician College on Saturday afternoon at Sorgenti Arena.
Chestnut Hill sophomore guard Billy Cassidy (Primos, Pa.) made seven of his nine three-point field-goal attempts and led all scorers with 29 points. Senior forwards J.R. Pringley (Elizabeth, N.J.) (six rebounds, three assists) and Jeyvi Miavivululu (Paterson, N.J.) scored 19 points apiece for Felician (5-19, 5-13 CACC)
The first half contained three lead changes and was tied six times, including 27-27 with three minutes remaining. Cassidy then canned a trio of threes as the Griffins (6-19, 5-13) closed the period with an 11-1 spurt for a 38-28 halftime edge. CHC senior Seamus Radke (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored the first four points of period two, and consecutive threes by Filip Sekulic (Danilovgrad, Montenegro) and Cassidy allowed the Griffins to extend to their largest lead of the day, 48-30, with 17:11 to play.
The Golden Falcons closed to within a seven-point deficit on a Pringley three at the 5:57 mark. Chestnut Hill came up with the game's next seven points, however, and maintained a double-digit bulge for the final four minutes.
Radtke (6-9 FG) was among four Griffin double-figure scorers with 15 points. Junior guard Lamine Cooper (Willingboro, N.J.) scored 13 for Felician.
Felician completes its season by traveling to Concordia (N.Y.) College on Wednesday night.
