Box Score EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Felician College men's soccer team led host and nationally-ranked East Stroudsburg University for 66 minutes on Monday night before the Warriors rallied for a 4-1 non-conference victory at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
East Stroudsburg (5-2) is ranked No. 17 in the most recent national NCAA Division II coaches' poll.
Despite outshooting its guests, 13-5, in the opening period, ESU found itself trailing, 1-0 at halftime. Felician freshman Brian Semorile (Clifton, N.J.) dented the scoreboard with his first collegiate goal in the 23rd minute. Semorile buried a nearly 30-yard shot from well outside the top of the box. Golden Falcon sophomore goalkeeper John Burns (Saddle Brook, N.J.) made four saves in the half, and Warrior sophomore Christian Bukowski (Stroudsburg, Pa.) saw a shot clang off the crossbar.
With 23:41 left in regulation, ESU junior defender Casey Albino (Scott Township, Pa.) knotted the score with an unassisted tally. Four minutes and four seconds later, Bukowski put the hosts ahead for good. It was the first of three goals in a span of 9:50 for Bukowski, who took 10 shots on the night.
ESU completed the evening with advantages of 25-10 in shots and 6-0 in corner kicks. Freshman Kenny Monfort (Spring Valley, N.Y.) was the most active Golden Falcon on offense, taking four shots. Burns was credited with seven saves.
