Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University was defeated by visiting Bloomfield College, 58-34, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's basketball action on Tuesday evening at Job Gymnasium. Junior guard Niaimani Marshall (Jersey City, N.J./Bayonne) scored nine points for Felician.
Bloomfield forced the Golden Falcons into catch-up mode early. The Bears (3-3, 3-3 CACC) led by 12 points after one period and were up 20 at halftime. Sophomore forward DaShanique Ruffin (Paterson, N.J./PCTI) topped the Bears with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots.
Felician (0-5, 0-5) received six points each from sophomore Damia Jordan (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Joseph) and freshman Sarah McSpadden (Melbourne, Australia/Box Hill SSC). Golden Falcon sophomore Rosie Arias (Linden, N.J./Linden) collected five points and eight rebounds.
Bloomfield sophomore guard Alaisha Mumford (Jersey City, N.J./Lincoln) accumulated nine points, eight rebounds, five assists and 10 steals. The Bears racked up 21 steals on the night.
