PHILADELPHIA – Felician University was defeated by host University of the Sciences, 65-36, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon at Bobby Morgan Arena. USciences (12-3, 7-2 CACC) was ranked No. 22 in the most recent national NCAA Division II media poll and received votes in the coaches' version.

Sophomore swing player Briana Lee (Jersey City, N.J.) led Felician (5-9, 3-2) with 11 points and five rebounds. Sophomore center Aisha Traore (Bronx, N.Y.) totaled nine points and five rebounds and graduate guard Katelyn Andres (North Bergen, N.J.) had nine points and three steals for the Golden Falcons.

Graduate guard Jess Huber (Hatfield, Pa.) recorded 19 points and seven rebounds for USciences. The Devils received 12 points and 12 boards from senior forward Taylor Hamm (Collegeville, Pa.)

The Golden Falcons helped force 31 USciences turnovers, but were only able to convert them into 11 points. The Devils piled up  a 47-25 rebounding advantage and held Felician to 22-percent shooting from the floor.

USciences, which never trailed, was on top, 13-2, after 7 ½ minutes of action. Felician closed the first period with a pair of baskets for a seven-point deficit, but was held without a field goal during the second quarter. The Golden Falcons were behind, 27-7, at halftime. A steal and layup by Lee made the score 33-16 with 6:47 left in period three, but the visitors never came closer.

Felician is back in action on Wednesday with a short trip to Bloomfield College. Tipoff time is 5:30 p.m.
