RUTHERFORD, NJ- Anthony Gomez (Lake Worth, FL) lead the Golden Falcons with 2 first-half goals to lift Felician University's men's soccer team over Dominican (NY), 6-0, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match-up, Wednesday afternoon at Tryon Field in Rutherford.

Felician put the pedal to the metal on the offensive end outshooting Dominican 27-5, with Gomez leading the charge with 5 shots and Riccardo Benini (Bologna, Italy) with 4.

A little over the 5-minute mark, the Golden Falcons recorded its first goal from 15-yards out by Gomez, assisted by Henry Calix (Egg Harbor Township, NJ), but just 10-minutes later, Salvador Rang (Doorn, Netherlands) dribbled the ball down the field and passed it through to Gomez on the right side for his second of the day, 2-0. 

With about 10-seconds left in the first-half, Ben Batson (Verona, NJ) centered the ball to find Cristian Mayorga (Dover, NJ) in the goal box to net the third Felician goal. In an aggressive first 45-minutes for Felician, they closed out the first with 13 shots, 4 being on goal.

The Golden Falcons went on to score three more goals in the second half by Alvaro Martin Castedo (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain), assisted by Gomez and Benini, Calix (unassisted), and Carlos Alonso (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain), assisted by Mayorga.

With this win, the men's soccer team improves to 6-3-5 overall and 3-2-3 in the CACC. They will be back in action Saturday as they hit the road to face Wilmington (Del.) for another CACC match-up at 2:30pm.
