BRIDGEPORT, CT — Felician men's soccer loses to the University of Bridgeport, 5-1, in a Tuesday night conference game at Knights Field in Connecticut.

Felician went up early when sophomore Gianluca Trastulli (Rome, Italy) scored in the 6th minute of the match. The Golden Falcons earned a corner kick that was taken by redshirt junior Salvador Rang (Doorn, Netherlands), who kicked it right to Trastulli who was crashing the far post. 

The University of Bridgeport didn't fire back until the second 45-mintues, where they scored five unanswered goals. Purple Knights senior, Jesse Clark, scored a header past Felician goalkeeper Uche Santschi (Bern, Switzerland) in the 50th minute to ignite the offense. Clark was assisted off of a free kick by freshman Jakob Reinhard. 12-minutes later, Bridgeport freshman Maximilian Kissel scored off of a pass from grad student Josef Preci.

The Purple Knights put the game to rest with 2 goals in the 80th-minute where Kissel recorded his second goal of the night from the top of the 18-yard box by a pass from teammate Jose Uresti. 

Trastulli led the Golden Falcons with two shots, and the team's only goal. Teammates Anthony Medina (San Sebastian, Spain) and Anthony Gomez (Lake Worth, Fla.) also recorded two shots each. Rang had two shots in the game and was credited with Trastulli's assist. Danny Bzura (East Stroudsburg, Pa.), Ricardo Benini (Bologna, Italy) and Alvaro Martin Castedo (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) all recorded a shot.

Santschi faced 12 shots and recorded two saves, while Bridgeport's goalkeeper Clement Anet faced 11 shots and totaled four saves. 

Felician men's soccer drops to 6-4-6, 3-3-4 in CACC play. They stay in Rutherford for their next conference match-up when they face Goldey-Beacom on Saturday for its Senior Night game at 7p.m.
