Box Score RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University Women's Basketball went up against Pace University in a non-conference match-up Tuesday night at JJJ Gymnasium. Briana Lee (Jersey City, NJ) recorded her 6th double-double of the season as she led the Golden Falcons with 22-points and 14 rebounds.
Felician started off the night with Lee recording an and-one to sink the freebee for a quick three-point play. Since then, the Setters went on a 12-2 run to put the hosts down 12-5 with the first quarter underway. Aisha Traore (Bronx, NY) would give the Golden Falcons its final points of the first to only put them down by 6 going into the second.
Uzor Uchidiuno (Toronto, Canada) sparked a Felician 8-point run and after two Katelyn Andres (North Bergen, NJ) layups, the Golden Falcons found themselves trailing the Setters, 25-23. Pace soon put an end to the Golden Falcon momentum with a lay-in, in the final seconds of the half to put themselves back up by 5 going into halftime.
With the third quarter favoring Pace, the Golden Falcons were not able to surpass the Setter lead. Midway through the final stanza, Felician fell to its largest deficit of the night, 58-43. Andres and Lee would net the final points for the squad to ultimately fall to the Setters, 62-54.
Andres recorded 11-points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals and Natalia Lucic (Grindavik, Iceland) had 6-points.
Going into the Holidays, the Women's Basketball team sits 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the CACC. The next game will be on December 29th to host conference opponent Bloomfield College at 6:00pm.
