Box Score Lakewood, NJ- The Felician University Men's Soccer Team recorded their third tie in the 2022 season with today's 1-1 tie on the road against Georgian Court Saturday afternoon at Investors Bank Field.
At the 30-minute mark, the Lions Cherif Tamar netted the ball for the first goal on the day. Anthony Medina (San Sebastian, Spain) had a tying opportunity before the end of the first half but kicked the ball off the crossbar and bounced out of scoring position.
Despite being down 1-0, the Golden Falcons had the offensive advantage in the first half tallying 12 shots, 18 in the entire match, but nothing to give them an edge over the Lions, until late in the second half.
Goalkeeper, Uche Santschi (Bern, Switzerland), saved three shots on goal this afternoon, one of them being the go-head goal for the Lions. With 5-minutes left to play, the Golden Falcons took advantage of the Lion's defensive foul for a free-kick assist by Riccardo Benini (Bologna, Italy) to Danny Bzura (East Stroudsburg, PA) to record his first goal of the season and to tie the match, 1-1.
Felician's aggressive offense was led by Bzura with the tying goal, followed by his teammates Benini (2 shots/1 on goal/1 assist), Anthony Gomez (Lake Worth, FL) (4 shots/2 on goal), Alex Ramos (Almada, Portugal) (3 shots), Carlos Alonso (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) (2 shots/1 on goal), and Salvador Rang (Doorn, Netherlands) (3 shots/1 on goal).
