RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician Women's Basketball loses to Saint Anselm College in a Thursday afternoon non-conference match, 68-46. The Hawks forced 20 Felician turnovers to convert them into 24-points to help propel them over the hosts.

In the afternoon, Catherine Lecop (Madrid, Spain) led the squad with 15-points, Katelyn Andres (North Bergen, NJ) had 10-points, and Uzor Uchidiuno (Toronto, Canada) finalized the day with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block.

Going into halftime, the Golden Falcons were only able to secure 13 points compared to the Hawks 39. Felician would then go on to outscore the Hawks in the second half of play with Lecop leading the charge in the third quarter with 11 back-to-back points, shooting 3-for-3 from behind the arc. Uchidiuno assisted onto that pace with 6-points of her own and one steal to go into the fourth quarter trailing, 57-34.

In a valiant effort, the Golden Falcons could not surpass the Hawks as the final buzzer sounded and the score finalized at 68-46 in favor of the Hawks.

Felician Women's basketball will be back in action on Jan. 17 to host game one of a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference double-header against Post University at 5:30pm.
