WILMINGTON, DE – Women's Basketball breaks a five-game losing streak, 4 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, with a 71-47 win over Wilmington (Del.) Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Falcons had 4 players score in double figures as Briana Lee (Jersey City, NJ) led the way with 16-points, Katelyn Andres (North Bergen, NJ) had 13-points, and Uzor Uchidiuno (Toronto, Canada) and Niaimani Marshall (Jersey City, NJ) had 10-points apiece. Uchidiuno controlled the boards with 9 and Lee with 7. Catherine Lecop (Madrid, Spain) posted 8 assists and Mimmi Hahne (Sollentune, Sweden) and Andres had 3 assists each.

Felician's defense dominated the Wildcats as Lee snagged 7 steals and the Golden Falcons converted 18-points off 27 host turnovers.  The Golden Falcons led the entirety of the game with its largest lead being 30. Aisha Traore (Bronx, NY) started the afternoon with a layup that ultimately led to a 10-0 Golden Falcon run, but the Wildcats were able to cut the Felician deficit to 9, 19-11. However, it was not enough to defeat Felician.

In the second quarter, the green and gold pushed its lead to double-digits as they entered halftime 34-19. Felician started off the third on a 9-2 run on buckets from Traore, Lee and Hahne. Fast forward to the final stanza, Felician held its largest lead of 30 after Lee netted two freebees while Marshall finalized the afternoon with a three as the Golden Falcons ran away with the 71-47 win.

Women's basketball improves its overall record to 7-10 and 4-6 in the CACC. The squad is back in action next Tuesday in JJJ Gymnasium to host another conference match-up against Caldwell University starting at 5:30pm.
