RUTHERFORD, NJ – On Nov. 19, red-shirt junior, Briana Lee (Jersey City, NJ), became the 9th Golden Falcon to become part of the women's basketball 1,000 point club. Tonight, Jan. 4, she added to her athletic resume breaking a Felician rebound record. The forward went into the match-up against Alliance University needing 7 boards to become Felician's all-time leading rebounder. The guard exceeded that stat grabbing 17 to sit in the top-spot with a total of 747 career rebounds.

To add onto that, Lee is also the leader in Rebounds in a season with 305 in 2021-2022. 

The Golden Falcons secured the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference 81-56 win over Alliance as Katelyn Andres (North Bergen, NJ) led all scorers with 21-points. Lee ended the night with 19-points, Mimmi Hahne (Sollentuna, Sweden) posted 13 points, and Mar Vidal (Tona, Spain) had 11.

In the first four minutes of the game, the Golden Falcons had the hot hand, shooting 4-6 from three to take a quick 12-2 lead. Hahne netted another bucket from behind the arc to go into halftime leading 38-23. Felician topped Alliance as much as 26-points until its opponents were able to cut it down to 10 with the help of Raquel Crooke-Losada's game-high 19-points.

Felician then closed out the night with a 22-7 run ignited by a Lee lay-in to run away with the conference win.

From tonight's results, the Golden Falcons are 6-5 overall and 3-2 in the CACC. The women's basketball team will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Philadelphia, PA to face Holy Family at 1pm.
