RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Felician men's soccer capped of their 2023 regular season with a 10-5-2 overall record and a 7-3-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. In the 1-1 draw with Post University on Nov. 1, the Golden Falcons secured the two seed the in the postseason standings which allows the to host the first round of the CACC playoffs - the first time in approximately 18 years. 

The Golden Falcons will match-up against No. 7 Georgian Court at 5:00pm Monday night on Tryon Field. 

Previous Meeting:
In the history between the two teams, Georgian Court holds a 7-2-2 record dating back to 2013. When they met on Oct. 19, the Golden Falcons were coming off a rough 5-1 loss against the No. 1 nationally and regionally ranked, Franklin Pierce University two days prior. The green-and-gold bounced back into the winner's bracket with the 1-0 win over the Lions after Andy Alvarez (Elizabeth, N.J.) recorded the lone match goal in the 79th-minute. Emanuele Moretti (Rome, Italy) snagged all seven opposer shots on goal, however, the Lions posted 15 shots for the match compared to the Golden Falcons 14. 

Georgian Court Players to Know:

• Mathias Madersbacher ranks in the top-10 in the CACC with three-shots per game.
• Goalkeeper Fabio Krissler is sixth in the conference with 67 saves, but is second with a .770 save percentage. 
• Cole Sullivan posts two game-winners for the fourth-most in the CACC.

Felician's "Keep an Eye Out" Players: 

• Lorenzo Ferrari (Palestro, Italy) is tied for fifth in the conference with 10 goals - leads the Golden Falcons - and is also top five with 58 shots in 16 matches played.
• Riccardo Benini (Bologna, Italy) has become a major presence for the Felician offense, including the equalizing goal against the ranked Post Eagles.
• Manuel Otero (Sanxenxo, Spain) recorded seven assists as he sits tied for second in the CACC, but leads the green-and-gold.
• Moretti recorded 72 saves this season with a .735 save percentage to sit in the top-10 in the CACC. 

Felician Men's Soccer Milestones:

• Felician men's soccer secured the program record with eight consecutive wins throughout the 2023 season once the match with St. Thomas Aquinas College was completed.
• The Golden Falcons became regionally ranked for a second consecutive season with their highest ranking being third under Post University and Franklin Pierce. 
• The squad is receiving national votes and is seeded 11th in the NCAA Super Region Rankings as of 10/31/23. 

The Monday Night Football Event will be a "Green Out". Come out and support the Golden Falcons representing the Felician green as they battle it out with the Lions for their third consecutive CACC playoff appearance (starting at the 2021 season after the COVID-19 public health crisis).
