Box Score RUTHERFORD, NJ – Sean McCarthy (Cork, Ireland) clinched a 32-point outing, posting a 15-19 performance from the field, in the 90-78 loss to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent, Alliance University, Wednesday night.
McCarthy led all Golden Falcon scorers and had 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Jamling Lama (Secaucus, NJ) went 4-8 from behind the arc to record 14-points and 4 steals. Anas Amos (Newark, NJ) and Ebuka Nnagbo (Niagara Falls, NY) had 9-points apiece.
Midway through the first half, the Golden Falcons started to trail Alliance by 15. Nnagbo recorded a layup and Lama netted his first three of the contest to chip away at the lead but steadily fell behind by 15 with seven and a half minutes left until intermission. The Golden Falcons went on a 16-17 run to close out the half.
The score going into second half of play was 47-31 in favor of Alliance. Alliance opened up the stanza with a jump shot while Felician's 11-1 run put them within nine points of the lead, but to no avail. The heavy offensive presence of Alliance overthrew the Felician come back attempt to run away with the game win, 90-78.
With tonight's loss, Felician Men's Basketball is 6-20 overall and 2-15 in the CACC. The squad will be on the road this Saturday to travel to Waterbury, CT for another CACC match up against Post University to close out its 2022-2023 season at 3:00pm
