MONTGOMERY, N.Y. - Felician Women's Cross Country went into their second race of the 2023 season at the Jasper Invitational in Montgomery, N.Y. Saturday morning. The green-and-gold laced up for a 6k trail at Twin Ponds Park to finish 13th overall out of 19 schools and almost 200 female runners.
In a combination of Division I-III schools, Felician finished with a time of 2:12.58 as
Cynthia Delapaz (Alvin, T.X.) continues to lead the Golden Falcons as she finished first for the squad at 24:07.3. Two-minutes later, Tahasia (Elizabeth, N.J.) Thomas clocked in her time of 26:36.4 and then
Catherine Catipay (Woodbridge, N.J.) at 27:25.9.
At the 28:00 mark,
Callie Negro (Wood-Ridge, N.J.) crossed the finish line along side of
Marilyn Gonzalez (Passaic, N.J.) who finished at 28:53.3. The final Felician runner to summarize the green-and-gold average time was
Gizette Perez (Lynchurst, N.J.) who recorded a time of 33:22.9.
The Women's Cross Country team will take a little over a week off and will be back in action on October 1st for the Queensborough Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
