Rutherford, NJ- The inaugural season for the Felician University's Women's Wrestling Team is officially underway!
The Golden Falcons were one of 19 teams to compete in the Princeton Open on Sunday in Princeton, New Jersey. Seven student-athletes made their Golden Falcon debut during the event.
Four of Felician's seven participants placed in their respective weight class, as Theresa Zeppetelli's fifth-place finish was the best among Golden Falcon qualifiers.
110lbs: Theresa Zeppetelli - 5th place
124lbs: Liliana Zaku-Ramos - 7/8th place
145lbs: Valerie Iglesias - 6th Place
180lbs: Julia Urban - 6th Place
Now that their first-ever event is in the books, the Felician University Women's Wrestling team will focus its attention to this weekend when they compete against a trio of teams (Western New England University, East Stroudsburg University and New England College) in Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday afternoon.
