Rutherford NJ - CACC has just announced their All-Academic Team for Men's Soccer. WIthin this announcement, 7 of Felician University Men's Soccer has been awarded with this nomination. Louis Cole, Emanuele Morretti, Lorenzo Ferrari, Massimo Girardi, Justin Suarez, Tim Jaeger, and Hugo Rodriguez have all been recognized for the work they do on the pitch and within the classroom.
Moretti achieved the highest GPA on the Men's Soccer team, with a GPA of 3.97 whilst majoring in Business Administration. 5 out of the 7 All-Academic members for Men's Soccer are Business Administration, Ferrari (3.91), Girardi (3.83), Jaeger (3.88), and Rodriguez (3.66). Suarez, who majors in Exercise Sports Science, has the second highest GPA on the team, with a GPA of 3.93. Cole, who is the only communications major to achieve this recognition, makes the team with a GPA of 3.65.
To be eligible for this academic recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term. For fall sport participants, this may include summer coursework.
- Have completed at least two semesters as a full-time student at their current member institution.
- Be classified as a second-year student-athlete at the member institution.
- Have used a season of competition during the current athletic season.
The CACC All-Academic Teams were instituted during the 2004-05 academic year and since then, Felician men's soccer has been recognized 69 times.
