Men's Soccer Earns Their Third Draw Of The Season

Box Score

Rutherford, NJ - The Golden Falcons battled to a 2–2 draw against Bridgeport leaning on a strong offensive outing from Keiji Sugiura and physical defense.

Sugiura put the Golden Falcons on the board in the 36th minute, striking a clean finish on a free kick, for his fifth goal of the season. The junior midfielder stayed active throughout the match, creating multiple scoring chances and dictating play early and often. Early in the second half, Sugiura added his second goal of the day and sixth of the season, finishing off a combination from Yusuf Mahmoud and Josiah Stepney to reclaim the lead for Felician. The Golden Falcons continued to search for a game winning goal, totaling nine shots on goal and controlling possessions throughout the contest.

Mathias Kristoffersen recorded one save in net, while the Felician defenders were a disciplined unit that limited Bridgeport's opportunities throughout the contest. The Golden Falcons limited the Purple Knights to a total of eleven shots with just three on goal.
