Felician Athletes Shine at ECAC Mid-Season Championships

Felician University swimmers delivered several strong performances over three days of competition at the 2025 ECAC Winter Championship. The women's team finished 5th overall, while the men's team placed 8th.

Day 1 (Friday) Recap: Podiums and High Finishes
Women's Results
Felician's women secured two podium finishes and several high relay placements on the first day.
Individual Highlights

Amelia Mayers (JR) captured 2nd place in the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle A-Final with a time of 23.74.
Manca Petric (SO) finished 3rd in the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle A-Final with a time of 5:02.53, a mark that achieved an NCAA Provisional Time Standard
Isabella Gautier du Defaix (SO) placed 24th in the Women's 200 Yard IM C-Final with a time of 2:18.22.

Relay Team Results

Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (A-Team): The quartet of Amelia Mayers (JR), Nicolette Wight (FR), Alice Sjoden Sikstrom (FR), and Didi Higgs (SR) finished in 4th place with a time of 1:36.83.
Women's 400 Yard Medley Relay (B-Team): The team of Didi Higgs (SR), Christine Fabo Mbite (SR), Elena Kaufmann (SO), and Tijana Lukic (SR) placed 12th with a time of 4:07.03.
Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (B-Team): Emily Hoppe (SO), Isabella Gautier du Defaix (SO), Linnea Lundin Skarp (FR), and Tijana Lukic (SR) finished 14th with a time of 1:41.07.

Men's Results
Felician's men posted competitive times in their relay events.

Men's 400 Yard Medley Relay (A-Team): The team of Malik Biad (SO), Markus Halvorsen (FR), Luke O'Mara (SO), and Kasper Laerum (FR) placed 14th with a time of 3:32.88.
Men's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (A-Team): The team of Nick Kelly (FR), Markus Halvorsen (FR), Malik Biad (SO), and Kasper Laerum (FR) finished in 15th place with a time of 1:27.05.

Day 2 (Saturday) Recap: Men's Victory and Women's Top-10
Women's Results
The women's team earned a top-ten finish in an individual medley event and placed highly in a major relay.
Individual Highlights

Elena Kaufmann (SO) placed 7th in the Women's 400 Yard IM A-Final with a time of 4:38.40.
Stephanie Schneider (SR) placed 19th in the Women's 400 Yard IM C-Final with a time of 5:10.20.

Relay Team Results

Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay (A-Team): The team of Nicolette Wight (FR), Isabella Gautier du Defaix (SO), Emily Hoppe (SO), and Amelia Mayers (JR) secured a 5th place finish with a time of 1:46.43.
Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay (B-Team): The team of Stephanie Schneider (SR), Christine Fabo Mbite (SR), Alice Sjoden Sikstrom (FR), and Tijana Lukic (SR) finished 16th with a time of 1:55.97.

Men's Results
The men's team was highlighted by an individual victory in the 400 IM.

Malik Biad (SO) claimed the gold medal, finishing 1st in the Men's 400 Yard IM A-Final with a time of 3:57.00, achieving an NCAA Provisional Time Standard and securing the team's first event win of the weekend.
Luke O'Mara (SO) placed 24th in the Men's 100 Yard Butterfly C-Final, recording a time of 55.26.

Women's Results
The women's team closed out the competition with a tied-podium finish and several strong individual performances.
Individual Highlights

Amelia Mayers (JR) tied for a podium, tieing for 3rd in the Women's 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 51.60, achieving an NCAA Provisional Time Standard
Elena Kaufmann (SO) placed 17th in the Women's 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:14.08.
Manca Petric (SO) finished 23rd in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:56.88 (according to other results for the day).

Relay Team Results

Women's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (A-Team): The final event saw the team of Didi Higgs (SR), Nicolette Wight (FR), Manca Petric (SO), and Amelia Mayers (JR) place 6th with a time of 3:32.40.
