Andy Crane Appointed Men's Golf Head Coach

Rutherford, NJ: Andy Crane to become Felician University's third head coach since the program's inaugural season in 2005-06.

Since taking over as Head Coach in July 2019, Andy Crane has transformed the Mount Saint Mary College Men's Golf program into one of the Skyline Conference's most consistent contenders. With 28 team victories to his name, Crane stands as the winningest coach in program history, and his teams have made their mark with a conference-record eight wins in a single season (2019).

Under Crane's guidance, the Knights have finished as Skyline Conference Championship runner-up four times (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025) while producing 10 All-Skyline Conference selections and 54 All-Skyline Conference Academic honorees. His blend of competitive experience, instructional expertise, and commitment to player development has created a culture where athletes excel both on the course and in the classroom.

Crane's coaching success is rooted in a remarkable professional background. Turning professional at just 19 years old, he made 47 professional starts across the Michelob Ultra Tour, NGA Hooters Tour, and Nike Tour, capturing three titles, including the 2006 Clarke Industries Championship at Quaker Mill Country Club near Baltimore, Maryland.

Beyond his playing career, Crane is a highly decorated PGA Professional. Elected to Class A status in 2015, he served for over a decade as Head PGA Professional for the United States Army at West Point Golf Course. He is a two-time PGA Ely Callaway Award winner for Educational Achievement (2016, 2020) and earned the prestigious PGA Patriot Award in 2017. In 2016, he became the first—and remains the only—PGA Professional to achieve Certified Professional status in all four disciplines within a single year, a record that still stands. Currently, Crane is the Director of Instruction at Turtle Creek Golf Course in Wallkill, New York.

A Penn State graduate with a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies, Crane is now pursuing a master's degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida, specializing in High Performance Sport Coaching. He lives in Wallkill with his four children—Elsa, Thomas, Layla, and Charlotte—and continues to bring passion, knowledge, and an unwavering competitive spirit to the Golden Falcons program.
