Lafayette Hill, PA – The No. 22nd Ranked Felician Golden Falcons opened Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play in dominant fashion on Saturday, rolling past Chestnut Hill, 5–0.
The Golden Falcons struck early and often, scoring three times in the opening nineteen minutes to take full control. Keiji Sugiura opened the scoring in the sixth minute on a feed from Bartu Yakkan, who then set up Ayato Kaneko just seven minutes later to double the advantage. Erick Vargas capped the first-half surge in the nineteenth minute off an assist from Yusuke Higuchi to send Felician into the break up 3–0.
In the second half, Aleksa Oborina extended the lead in the sixty-third minute from a Sugiura assist before Yakkan converted scored in the eighty-seventh minute to round out the scoring.
The Golden Falcons generated twenty-three shots, fourteen of which landed on goal, while applying consistent pressure on the Chestnut Hill goalkeeper and defenders. On the defensive end, the Golden Falcons were sharp and disciplined, allowing just four shots on goal. Goalkeeper Mathias Kristoffersen turned aside each one to secure his third shutout of the season.
