Rutherford, NJ - Ranked second in the NCAA East Region Poll and now sitting as the No. 25 team in the country, Felician University continued its dominant season with an 81–71 victory over Bridgeport on February 25 inside Job Gymnasium. The Golden Falcons improved to 23-3 overall and 18-1 in CACC play, showcasing their depth and physical presence on both ends of the floor.
Felician established control early, taking a 41-26 lead into halftime behind balanced scoring and relentless pressure. The Golden Falcons forced 16 turnovers and converted those opportunities into 23 points off turnovers, consistently turning defense into offense. Their transition game was especially sharp, pouring in 25 fast break points to keep Bridgeport on its heels.
Inside, Felician imposed its will. The Golden Falcons scored 46 points in the paint and added 15 second chance points, capitalizing on key offensive rebounds. That interior dominance helped offset a 20 percent performance from beyond the arc, as Felician relied on physical drives, put-backs, and aggressive cuts to maintain separation throughout the second half.
The bench also played a pivotal role, contributing 16 points while providing energy and defensive stops in critical stretches.
